For runners with trail experience ready to take on their first or next ultra with confidence, strategy, and community.
OVERVIEW
The Sole Pursuit Running Mountain Endurance Experience is an immersive 3.5-day trail running retreat in Kootenay National Park. It is designed to simulate the physical, mental, and logistical demands of ultra-distance running — without the pressure of race day.
What to expect:
-
Guided alpine trail running on mountainous, high-elevation terrain
-
Significant sections climbing and descending across multiple days
-
Back-to-back endurance efforts to simulate fatigue experienced in ultra races
-
Coaching on pacing, fueling, mindset, self-care and efficiency
-
Small, effort-based pacing groups led by experienced coaches
-
Built-in recovery, reflection, and community time
This immersive retreat takes place in high-elevation, alpine mountain terrain and combines guided trail runs, back-to-back endurance efforts, and practical coaching to help build confidence, refine strategy, safely increase intensity and learn how to run stronger over long days where elevation gain is guaranteed.
This is not a race. It’s an endurance experience — built around smart pacing, fueling, terrain management, and shared adventure.
